Velcro hook-and-loop tape
Velcro tape consists of two parts: the hook (hard side) and the loop (soft side). The hook is glued to the frames of the modular aluminum system, the loop to the panel. Both parts are needed for proper attachment. Available in various colors and sizes.
Gaffer or duct tape?
Duct tape
For permanent repairs with strong adhesion to the surface. Thinner, harder to remove and leaves adhesive residue when removed.
Gaffer tape
For temporary but firm fixing: removes cleanly, without adhesive residue, and tears more easily along length and width.
Nichiban
The best-known and most widely used gaffer tape is the Nichiban brand. Genuine Nichiban tape is easy to recognise: it always has a printed core bearing the Nichiban name.
