key international fairs for adria companies

For companies targeting European markets the key fairs are: Hannover Messe (industry + technology, April), Frankfurt Ambiente (home + consumer goods, February), Salone del Mobile Milano (furniture, April), Nuremberg IFA (electronics, September), Pordenone Ortogiardino (gardening, February) and Cologne IMM (furniture, January).

An international appearance needs 9 to 12 months of preparation. Costs are higher (space rental 200 to 600 EUR/m², stand 400 to 1,000 EUR/m²), but the reach is incomparably bigger. For a first appearance abroad, we recommend a smaller stand (9 to 18 m²) and a focused industry message.

  • Hannover Messe: April, industry + technology.
  • Frankfurt Ambiente: February, home + consumer goods.
  • Salone del Mobile Milano: April, furniture.
  • Nuremberg IFA: September, electronics.
  • Pordenone Ortogiardino: February, gardening.
  • Recommended lead time: 9 to 12 months.

regional fairs (smaller but focused)

Smaller regional fairs across SI, HR and the wider region draw distinctly local audiences. For companies targeting specific regional buyers (local construction, agriculture, crafts) these fairs are more effective than the large centralised ones. A small stand (4 to 9 m²) is enough; the focus is direct conversation.

  • Smaller regional fairs: B2C + B2B, local audience.
  • Best suited for small stands (4 to 9 m²) and direct conversation.
  • Recommended lead time: 2 to 4 months.

three steps to your appearance at the chosen fair

First: pick a fair from the calendar above and let us know the dates + approximate stand size (m²). Second: you receive a concept with two scenarios (rent / buy) and topical details for the chosen fair (connections, hall constraints, audience type). Third: you confirm the variant and we take over execution from graphics production to set-up and removal, locally or abroad.

For EXPO 2027 we run a dedicated track because it is the peak of the regional calendar. Exhibitors who start now still have a choice of locations. More in the dedicated EXPO 2027 guide.

frequently asked questions

For a regional fair (DOM, MOS, AGRA, Zagreb Fair, Belgrade Fair): 3 to 6 months ahead. For larger international ones (Hannover, Frankfurt, Milano): 9 to 12 months. For EXPO 2027: 9 to 12 months (the best locations are filling up now).

Every fair has an exhibitor portal at the organiser (Celjski sejem, Zagreb Fair, Belgrade Fair, Hannover Messe). There you fill out the registration form, pick the stand size and pay the space rental. The stand (build, equipment, graphics) is a separate process we take over.

Costs split between: space rental (organiser) + stand + graphics + team + logistics. Ballpark for an 18 m² stand in the region: space rental 1,500 to 3,000 EUR, stand 1,000 to 4,000 EUR (rental) or 5,000 to 15,000 EUR (purchase), graphics 300 to 1,500 EUR. Total 3,000 to 10,000 EUR for a rental stand, 8,000 to 25,000 EUR for a bought stand.

Yes, if it is a modular system (Octanorm). Walls, counters, ceilings and furniture assemble to your floor plan for each fair. You change the graphics for each appearance. For 2 to 3 appearances per year the purchase often already pays back.
